Run your race!
It’s amazing how time flies and life slides by. You look around, you feel you’ve lost grounds. Suddenly you want to play ‘catch-up’. You want to meet up and to measure up. But can you really meet up? By the way, who do you want to meet up with? Forget it! It doesn’t make sense. You were not created to meet up or measure up to anything or to anyone. The reason is simple. You were not created to compete but to live. Just run your race, on your own track, at your own pace. Enjoy the race. Fall and get up, keep running. It’s your race, not anyone else’s.
In the end, you will be rewarded according to how you ran your race, not according to how you competed and tried to measure up or meet up.
Stay on your lane. It’s marked out for you before you got saved – Eph. 2:10.
Strive to run your race. Strive to leave a legacy. Be comfortable with your lane, no matter how insignificant it might seem. I can only cheer you up and encourage you to run well, but I can’t run your lane for you.
Run well. Your reward awaits you in yonder place, where Jesus Christ has made all things right.
You are blessed.
